Dr. Sheikh Selim
Editor-in-Chief
Dr. Sheikh Selim is an economist by profession, currently employed by the University of Birmingham as an Associate Professor of Economics. He has published scholarly papers in Gov.uk, Economic Modelling, Agricultural Economics, Applied Economics, Economic Bulletin, Journal of Policy Research, Forbes, Arabian Business, Bankers Middle East, the Conversation and many other peer reviewed outlets. His key research is in Economic Policy, Public Economic Theory, Economic Growth and Macroeconomics. Sheikh achieved PhD in Economics from the University of Southampton. He spent his research and professional career in the UK academia, in the Russell Group Universities. Oniket Research Group is his visionary project for inclusive policy research and dialogues in Bangladesh. For the Oniket Bulletin, he writes the Chief Editor’s article, and articles on topics related to Economy, Governance, Education, Agriculture and Trade, Industry & Commerce.

Vivek Singh Chauhan
Associate Editor – Economy, Policy governance, Industry, Agriculture, Trade
Vivek Singh Chauhan has joined the Oniket Research Group as an Associate Editor on its editorial board, notably as its youngest member yet. In this role, he will work closely with Editor-in-Chief Dr. Sheikh Selim, continuing a collaboration built over years of shared discussions on economic policy, governance, politics, democracy, citizen rights, and trade and industry. For the Oniket Bulletin, Vivek works in the Chief Editor’s Office.
Vivek brings a strong academic and professional grounding in economics. An Economics graduate of the University of Birmingham, Dubai, he has cultivated a deep interest in economic research, consulting, and applied economics, with hands-on experience analyzing macroeconomic trends, monetary and financial systems, and policy design. He is currently furthering his expertise with a Master’s degree in Economics at Columbia University in the United States. Beyond the classroom, Vivek is driven by a genuine passion for research that matters. He hopes to contribute to publications that dig into pressing economic and policy questions, with particular attention to emerging markets and South Asia, regions he sees as pivotal to understanding the future of global economic development.

Farah Zahir
Managing Editor
Farah Zahir is a literary editor, an entrepreneur and a cultural organizer, working to advance literature, art, and culture through thoughtful editorial practice and critical insight. While in her role as the Managing Editor of the Oniket Research Group and the Oniket Bulletin, Farah also serves as an editor of Kothar Kagoj (Poetry Section) and Managing Editor of Shobdo Mukur, a monthly lifestyle e-magazine. She collaborates closely with emerging and established researchers, authors and creatives. With an academic foundation in Philosophy from Dhaka University and in International Business from the University of Birmingham, she is deeply inclined towards research-based thinking, connecting literature, culture, industry and society to foster meaningful intellectual dialogue. Her research and writing portfolio in the bulletin includes (but not limited to) Education, Politics, Media & Digital Dissemination, Art & Heritage and Citizen Rights.

Naima Onamika
Commissioning Editor – Education, Health, Human Rights, Social Welfare
Naima Onamika is an author, educator, and the proprietor of a school in Dhaka. Originally from Barishal, where she earned her Master’s in Social Welfare, she stepped into the literary world in 2018 with her fiction book Banalata Noi. Her work spans novels, short stories, and insightful columns on parenting, health, education and social trends for various online platforms. Beyond her pen, Naima is a dedicated musician trained in Classical and Nazrul Sangeet and currently manages her own music academy. She views music and writing as her greatest passions and strives to evolve as a person of true character and excellence. Her editorial portfolio in the bulletin includes Education, Health, Social Welfare & Human Rights.

Minhaz-Us-Salakeen Fahme
Commissioning Editor – Science & Technology, Sustainability and Urban Development
Minhaz-Us-Salakeen Fahme joins the Oniket Research Group as a commissioning editor, covering Science and Technology and Sustainability and Urban Development. He is the author of “How to Make a Game” (Apress, a Springer Nature company), making him the first and only resident Bangladeshi to publish a book on game development. As Co founder and CEO of Battery Low Interactive Ltd, and an alumnus of the U.S. Department of State’s Exchange Programs, he has spent a decade leading a team that builds mobile, PC, and AR/VR games for private companies, governments, and UN organizations, giving half a million children their first taste of immersive technology. His work has carried him across the globe, representing Bangladesh at forums including the Professional Fellows Exchange Program, the Kazan OIC Youth Entrepreneurship Forum, the Azerbaijan Investment and Culture Summit, and major investment summits in Bahrain and Istanbul. He also co directs Sleepy Penguin Studios Ltd, mentoring young developers, and remains a sought after speaker, fiction writer, and tireless advocate for Bangladesh’s game and XR community, having led more than 50 sessions on the craft.
Beyond his studios, Minhaz now leads two AI focused companies, serves as General Secretary of his university’s 8,300 strong alumni network, and founded Bangladesh’s chapter of the International Game Developer Association, where he is founding President. Tanzina Fardoush
Commissioning Editor – Law & Local Governance, Politics, Democracy, Citizen Rights
Tanzina Fardoush is a distinguished legal professional, based in Dhaka Bangladesh. She completed LLB and LLM, and works as an Income Tax Practitioner and an advocate in the District and Session Judge Court in Dhaka. Originally from Jessore, Tanzina is also a passionate poet, and has published several poetry books with leading publishers in Bangladesh. She works in the Chief Editor’s Office as the Editor for Sensitive, Inclusive and Accessible (SIA) Art & Literature Philosophy of the renowned literary magazine Kothar Kagoj. Her poetry collections have been adapted in English and are available in the bilingual online library shobdomukur.com. For the Oniket Bulletin, Tanzina writes in the Law & Local Governance, Politics & Democracy and Citizen Rights related topics.

A History graduate from Eden Mohila College, Sumaiya Hasi currently serves in the Public Relations and Editorial departments at ‘Mukur Advertisement, Design & Media’ and the literary journal ‘Kothar Kagoj’. She skillfully translates her profound passion for ancient civilizations and historical perspective into creative excellence within public relations and modern editing. Also associated with the ‘Shobdomukur.com’ online library, Sumaiya is dedicated to elevating her career by bridging the gap between historical roots and the contemporary world. Driven by the belief that every buried artifact is a living narrative, she uses her insight into the past to creatively interpret and navigate the present.
